Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Tayo Onaleye

I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21

*I define success as hearing "well done" from God.*

Jesus succeeded.

Concerning Him the Father said:

Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

How did Jesus do it?

Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did.

The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too.

That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but  *tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.*

Acts 1.8 But *ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:....*

Jesus himself didn't embark upon ministry until the anointing of the Holy Spirit came upon Him.

Luke 4. 14  And Jesus returned *in the power of the Spirit* into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

*A victorious Christian life and ministry is impossible without the Holy Spirit.*

If Jesus couldn't do without the Holy Spirit then you and I too cannot do without Him.

"...... without me ye can do nothing" John 15.5

"....... Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4.6

I need Him.

You need Him.

LIFE IS ABOUT FOLLOWING

LIFE IS ABOUT FOLLOWING Tayo Onaleye Psalm 63.8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. The Christian life is a journey with the Master. It's about following Him, His agenda and pattern. 1. FOLLOW JESUS Mat 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He's the Bishop of your soul and the Great Shepherd.  He's the No.1 person to follow. We follow Jesus by following the leading of the Holy Spirit in us and the Word of God. The first calling of the disciple is not to preach but to follow. Mark 3.14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, 2. FOLLOW YOUR LEADER Don't hang around a leader you refuse to follow. Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. You can't help the the fellow who refuses to follow. Hebrews 13.17 Obey them that have t...
