LIFE IS ABOUT FOLLOWING

LIFE IS ABOUT FOLLOWING
Tayo Onaleye

Psalm 63.8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

The Christian life is a journey with the Master. It's about following Him, His agenda and pattern.

1. FOLLOW JESUS

Mat 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

He is the author and finisher of our faith.

He's the Bishop of your soul and the Great Shepherd.

He's the No.1 person to follow.

We follow Jesus by following the leading of the Holy Spirit in us and the Word of God.

The first calling of the disciple is not to preach but to follow.

Mark 3.14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

2. FOLLOW YOUR LEADER
Don't hang around a leader you refuse to follow.

Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

You can't help the the fellow who refuses to follow.

Hebrews 13.17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves.....

You can't lead well until you learn to follow. You're not qualified to lead until you've learnt how to follow.

1Co 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

In the organisational context beware of the fellow who refuses to follow.

The man who is not under authority is not fit to be in authority.

3. FOLLOW WORTHY MODELS

Follow the models of your future.

Isa 51:2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

Your model is a prophecy of your future.

Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Heb 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end oftheir conversation.

Who you follow determines what follows you.

Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.....

4. FOLLOW YOUR HUSBAND

Don't marry a man you cannot follow.

Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

5. FOLLOW YOUR TEAM MEMBERS

1Pe 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

None of us knows it all.

Defer to others in the team and follow their lead in the areas they've been empowered to lead.

Finally.....

The call of the Master is still the same today, as it was over two millennia ago: Follow me and I will make you.

Stay blessed.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
