YOU ARE NOT FIGHTING TO WIN

Topic: YOU HAVE THE POWER
Text: Luke 9.1-6

Luk 9:1  Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
Luk 9:2  And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Luk 9:3  And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
Luk 9:4  And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
Luk 9:5  And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
Luk 9:6  And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

 1. IT TAKES POWER TO REIGN OVER EVIL FORCES

1Jn 5:19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Evil is real. And it cannot be defeated just by wishful thinking and good will. It takes the power of Jesus through the Holy Spirit to reign over evil. Even though evil is real, there is Good News. The Good News is that God is good and He has given us victory over evil through Jesus our Lord and Savior.

2. JESUS HAS GIVEN YOU POWER OVER ALL EVIL FORCES

Luk 9:1  Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

In Christ, you are superior to the devil and all the host of darkness. You are superior to demonic principalities, powers, witches, wizards, whatever. You are superior to them because you are in Christ.
You must operate with the mentality and consciousness of your superiority to evil forces.
You have authority over them. Jesus gave you that authority.

Luk 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Psa 91:13  Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
1Jn 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

3. YOU ARE NOT FIGHTING TO WIN

You must understand this very clearly: You are not fighting evil forces to defeat them.

No. They are already defeated! Jesus defeated them on your behalf. Satan and all his cohorts are defeated already! They are under your feet.

Col 2:15  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Rom 8:37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

So, you are not fighting to win.

You are fighting to enforce your victory in Christ over them!
Jesus secured that victory for you already but you must enforce it.

Fight with the mentality of a champion. Fight with the mentality of an overcomer. You are not in the ring to win. No. You are there to affirm your championship, your victory.

Deu_2:24  Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

The land has been given to you already but you must fight the fight of faith to take possession of it.

1Ti 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
2Co 2:14  Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

4. RELEASE THE POWER BY USING THE NAME OF JESUS
Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Your authority over the kingdom of darkness is domiciled in the name of Jesus. We reign by His name. We rule by His name. It is all IN HIS NAME.
Luk 10:17  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

The power of the kingdom is in the name of Jesus. Release that power by making decrees in His name.

Act 16:18  And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

5. RELEASE THE POWER BY DECLARING THE WORD OF GOD

When God speaks, His power is released.

When you speak the Word of God, the power of God is released as if it was God Himself who spoke those Words! That’s how powerful speaking the Word of God is.

Gen 1:3  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Ecc 8:4  Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
Psa 107:20  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Psa 147:15  He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Psa 33:9  For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
Psa 33:6  By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Psa 148:5  Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created
Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

 6. RELEASE THE POWER BY DECLARING YOUR PERSONAL REVELATIONS IN THE SPIRIT

There are specific personal revelations the Holy Spirit has birthed in your spirit.

There are specific things He has told or shown you.

 There may also be specific prophecies that have been delivered to you.

Declare these personal revelations and prophecies because they are the Words of God!!!

And they are as potent as the Spirit-inspired Words written in the Bible because they were released by the same Holy Spirit.

Please get this: Your personal revelations from the Holy Spirit are as potent as the scriptures!

Declare those things the Holy Spirit has told or shown you. Declare them over and over.

Num 14:28  Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Job 22:28  Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
