RESTRICT ACCESS TO YOUR INNER CIRCLE

RESTRICT ACCESS TO YOUR INNER CIRCLE
Tayo Onaleye

Text: Luke 8.40-56

Luk 8:51  And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.
Luk 8:52  And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.
Luk 8:53  And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
Luk 8:54  And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
Luk 8:55  And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Jairus requested that Jesus should heal his daughter. Before Jesus got to Jairus’ house the daughter had died. Jesus eventually raised the dead girl back to like but before He did, he removed some people from the space where He wanted to perform the miracle.

Why did Jesus do this?

He did so because not everybody should be allowed into the inner circle of your life. Some of the people Jesus put out would have blocked the flow of His anointing and so prevented the miracle.

BASICS
1. Always walk in love
2. Always forgive
3. Always address issues in relationships.
4. Don’t make enemies or adversaries out of people

Be that as it may, you need to be as wise as a serpent but as harmless as a dove. You need to guide your affairs with discretion because “not everyone holds to the faith” 2Thess 3.2

SIX TYPES OF PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE RESTRICTED FROM THE INNER CIRCLE OF YOUR LIFE

 1. Those who mock you
At Jairus’ house some people mocked Jesus. They laughed Him to scorn. Luke 8.53

You can’t allow such people into your inner circle.

They don’t belong in the inner court of your life. Leave them in the outer court.

 2. Those who can’t handle your consecration and commitment

Abraham decided to obey God and sacrifice his son, so he took some servants along with him.

But along the line he had to restrict the access of his servants to the actual place of sacrifice because the servants would not be able to handle that level of consecration and commitment to God.

Gen 22:5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

Some people will criticize your commitment to the kingdom and things of God. It’s because they cannot handle your level of consecration to God. Restrict such people from the inner circle of your life.

 3. Those who don’t need to know the inner details of your assignment

Samuel had just anointed Saul as king then Saul’s uncle asked Saul what transpired between Saul and Samuel.

Saul refused to disclose the inner details of his assignment to his uncle because not everyone deserves to know the inner details of your calling.

1Sa 10:14  And Saul's uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses: and when we saw that they were no where, we came to Samuel.
1Sa 10:15  And Saul's uncle said, Tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said unto you.
1Sa 10:16  And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not.

Guide your affairs with discretion. Not everyone needs to know the details.

Psa 112:5  A good man sheweth favour, and lenndeth:   he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Proverbs 29:11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wiseman keepeth it in till afterwards.

4. Those with the spirit of heaviness

Joy and sadness are contagious.

Protect your inner circle from people who are perpetually sorrowful, always complaining, always lamenting and always criticizing.

These types of people block the flow of the anointing and the move of the Holy Spirit. Jesus had to put them out before He could raise the dead girl.

5. Those who don’t believe in you

Mat 13:58  And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Those who don’t believe in you cannot see anything good in you. Their unbelief will manifest in their words and behavior towards you.

6. Those who sabotage your effort and tear you down

1Co 16:9  For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

Some people deliberately attack you and sabotage your effort. They attack your vision, grace, calling or anointing. Walk in love towards them but restrict their access to your inner circle.

Restricting these types of people from the inner circle of your life doesn’t mean that you don’t love or care for them. No, not at all.

It only means that you have enough discretion and discernment to relate appropriately with people.

You are going forward in Jesus name.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
