TOPIC: THE COVENANT KEY OF GROWTH

*TOPIC: THE COVENANT KEY OF GROWTH*

Luke 1. 80  And the child *grew*, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

Genesis 26. 13  And the man waxed great, and went forward, and *grew* until he became very great:

Christianity is a covenant between God and man.

And this covenant operates on *keys*

Things work for you in God's kingdom to the degree that you apply the keys of the kingdom/covenant.

Matthew 16.19  And I will give unto thee *the keys of the kingdom* of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

*Growing* is one of the keys of the covenant.

The covenant key of growth means that even though you  are  blessed, you cannot experience the fullness of the blessing in the kingdom *unless you grow*

Galatians 4.
 1  Now I say, That the heir, *as long as he is a child,* differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

2  But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

*Basic facts about growing.*

1. There's a difference between growing old and growing up. Growing old takes just time. Growing up takes *intentionality*.

Are you growing our just growing old?

2. Growing is crucial to dominion.
To have dominion in any sphere of life you must grow in that sphere. If you're not growing you will become stale and you'd be left behind. By growing you expand your capacity to have dominion and take charge.

3. Growing is the natural demand of life.
Anything that is not growing is bound to die.

Areas where you need to grow:

*1. Grow in knowledge*

1Sa 2:3 ....... for the LORD is  *a God of knowledge,*  and by him actions are weighed.

Prov 4. 7  Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore  *get wisdom:* and with all thy getting get understanding.

Prov. 24. 3  Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:    4  And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.    5  A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

*2. Grow in capacity*

Take up bigger challenges.

Grow in the size and complexity of the problems you're solving.

*3. Grow in skill*

Expand your skill set.

Acquire new skills

Go for more training.

What training programs do you plan to attend this year?

How do you plan to upgrade your skills this year?

*4. Grow in spiritual things*
Prayer. Fasting. Word. Soul winning

1 Peter 2.2  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Life is spiritual. Put more diligence into spiritual things.

*5. Grow in maturity*

1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up my childishways.

Grow in how you handle issues and relate with people. Grow in how you manage yourself.

Don't just grow old. Grow up. Keep growing.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
