THE MISSING LINK

THE MISSING LINK
Tayo Onaleye

If you're a leader worth your salt in this age you would have read books by John Maxwell and such excellent authors on people skills.

You would have learnt how to treat people well, love people, honour people, respect people, build and develop people, work with teams, reward people, retain people etc

But as good as all these are they are not enough.

There's something very vital missing in your people skills arsenal: how to handle difficult relationships.

That all relationships would be smooth is a myth.

That some relationships would be tough is a given.

So how do you deal with Korah, Dathan and Abiram? How do you handle Absalom, Miriam and Demas.

Sometimes in life it is these challenging relationships that will define your success or failure just as Absalom singlehandedly overthrew the sweet Psalmist of Israel, the man after God's heart, the anointed of of the Most-High, David.

Your leadership education, development and skill is fundamentally deficient if you're not adequately equipped to deal with the tough and rough relationships on your journey.

Virtually every major ministry in Nigeria has stories of top relationships gone sour.

RCCG, Winners, Daystar, Foursquare, Deeper Life, etc have all had their fair (and some, bigger than fair) shares of tough and rough relationships.

Ghanaian minister, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has gone to town to deal with the issue of tough and rough relationships in ministry.

God bless this man of God for his openness and frankness on this crucially important subject.

He has shed so much light on this subject.....my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..

I highly recommend his book on the subject titled  " *Loyalty and disloyalty"*

Moses experienced tough relationships.

David did.

Paul did.

Our Lord and Master did.

Baba Adeboye, Pastor Kumuyi, Bishop Oyedepo, Sam Adeyemi, etc have all experienced rough and tough relationships.

You will experience yours.

It's as certain as daylight.

So....

Prepare!!!

Equip yourself.

Go get books on dealing with tough and rough relationships.

Go beyond the sweet and easy stuff of relationships that are working.

Some won't work.

Some will work for a season and then crash like a pack of cards.

That's the reality of life and leadership.

Equip yourself.

You're blessed in Jesus name.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
