PUT ONLY RUNNERS ON YOUR TEAM

PUT ONLY RUNNERS ON YOUR TEAM

Tayo Onaleye

John 20.1-4

Team building is a major function of leadership. And broadly speaking, there can just be only two types of people on any team: those who are running with the vision and those who are not.

It takes running to actualize any vision.

Hab 2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said,Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Only those who are running with the vision will help actualize it.

Those on the team who are not running with the vision will eventually ground it.

Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Running with the vision symbolises PASSION.

Hence only those who are passionate about the vision will actually pay the price to see it materialise.

Every vision faces challenges. Only those who are passionate about the vision will stick with it for the long haul. Those who are not passionate about the vision fall off easily when the going gets tough.

This is what happened to Jesus.

Jesus had people who were so passionate about the kingdom that they literally ran because of Him.

John 20. 1  The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.  2   Then she RUNNETH, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. 3  Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.  4   So THEY RAN BOTH TOGETHER: and the other disciple did out RUN Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

Jesus had people who were running with the vision.

No wonder over two thousand years after he had left the impact of His life and ministry is still being felt.

There were people who ran with His message then.

And there are people who are still running with it now .

No organisation can rise above the capacity of people who are running with the vision of that organisation.....People who are passionate about it.

Are you recruiting? Watch out for passion.

Are you evaluating your staff? Check for passion.

Don't fill your team with people who are not ready to run.

Fill it with runners.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
