Focus: The book of 1Kings

Passage: 1Kings 8

 56  Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, *according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant*

*LESSON: GOD IS FAITHFUL*

This verse states that every promise of God to the Israelis through Moses was fulfilled.

Every one of them.

*Application*

*1. GOD IS STILL FAITHFUL*

He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He was faithful yesterday. He is still faithful today.

Psalm 89.34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Isaiah 55.11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Jer 1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, ........... I will hasten my word to perform it.

*2. THE PROMISE IS FOR AN APPOINTED TIME*

It is true that all the promises of God to the Israelis came to pass but we must remember that *the promises didn't come to pass all at once.......It took time*

Exodus 23.

 29   *I will not drive them out from before thee in one year;* lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

 30   *By little and little* I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

Yes, God have them all the land He promised them but it didn't happen *overnight*......it happened *over time*

*IT TOOK TIME*

Has God given you a specific personal promise?

Do you have a revelation from the Lord?

And it appears as if it won't happen or it's too slow?

Remember this......

Habakkuk 2.3

*For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.*

*3. HOLD ON IN FAITH*

Hebrews 10

 35  Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

 36  For *you have need of patience*, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Are you tempted to give up on the promises of God to you?

Are you tempted to drop the ball and walk away?

Please listen to me......

*God is still faithful!*

He keeps His word.

So.......

*Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.* Galatians 6.9

Hold on.

Don't give up.

And finally my brethren......

Luk 1:45 Blessed is she/he that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her/him from the Lord. 

His word will surely come to pass in your life in Jesus name.
