INCREASE YOUR MARKET VALUE....PART 2

Keys to increasing your market value.

*1. DELIVER RESULTS*

The name of the game in the work place is RESULTS. You're on the payroll to deliver results to your company or employer. Don't operate with a "civil servant" mindset of "whether market sells or not my salary will be complete." That type mind set is a destiny destroyer. Be a person who delivers outstanding results.

Matthew 25.20  And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21  His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

*2. HONESTY*

It's quite difficult to find honest people. But this is an opportunity for you.....just as darkness is an opportunity for light. Every employer of labor is searching for honest people into whose hands they can commit responsibilities and be at rest. Be a Joseph who can be trusted with an entire empire.

Gen 39:6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

Can you be trusted? Can your employer commit things into your hands without being betrayed? The honest staff will always be more valuable than a dishonest one.

1Co 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

*3. LEADERSHIP*

Leadership is the ability to get things done with the cooperation of other people. Develop your leadership capacity. Intentionally develop your capacity to get things done through cooperation with other people.

*4. SERVICE*

The greatest person is the one who serves. Have a mindset of service. Serve your employer. Serve your colleagues. It doesn't mean that you're a slave. It means you have insight.
Matthew 20. 26  But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Genesis 39.4  And Joseph found grace in his sight, and HE SERVED HIM: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

*5. TEAM SPIRIT*

Organisations achieve results through teams.
If you can't get along you can't get ahead. Be a team player. Individuals who are team players are more valuable than those lack the ability.

*6. SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS*

The specialist will always command higher income than that generalist. Increase your market value by going for specialised knowledge and skills. Go for more certifications. Go for more courses and training programs.

*7. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT*

See yourself as a product and upgrade yourself continuously. A major constant thing in life is change.  If you rest you will rust. Don't solve today's problems with yesterday's methods.

*9. MENTORING*

Have a mentor on your job. Studies have established that those who have mentors navigate their careers faster and earn more than those who don't.

Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.....

*9. CONTRIBUTE*

Make meaningful contributions to your organisation. Think up and proffer solutions to problems. Contribute ideas. Speak up during meetings and input something useful.

*10. GOD FIRST*

Put God and the agenda of His kingdom first in all things. Promotion is from the Lord.

Psalm 75. 6  For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7  But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
