GIVE TO YOUR PASTOR

*IT'S TIME TO GIVE TO YOUR PASTOR*

By Tayo Onaleye

If you and your family have been blessed by the ministry of your pastor, then you need to be a blessing back to him/her.

WHY?

*1. Giving to your pastor is commanded in scripture.*

Galatians 6:6

EasyEnglish version........Everyone who is learning God’s message from a teacher *should give good things to that teacher.* Every learner should give some of all the good things that he has to his teacher.

ISV...........The person who is taught the word *should share all his goods with his teacher.*

KJV...........Let him that is taught in the word *communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.*

Num 35:2  *Command* the children of Israel, *that they give unto the Levites*  of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shallgive also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.

2Ch 31:4 Moreover he *commanded* the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to *give the portion of the priests and the Levites* that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD.

*2. It is an obligation*

Rom 15:27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, *their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.*

You have *a duty* to minister material things back to those who minister spiritual things to you.

*3. It connects you to the grace/blessing on the pastor*,

Matt 10.41  He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet *shall receive a prophet's reward*........

Every pastor carries a specific grace peculiar to them. Giving to a pastor connects you to the flow of that specific grace.

Genesis 12.3 And I will bless them that bless thee.......

Blessing a pastor attracts the blessing he/she carries into your own life.

Heb 7.7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

*4. It is an expression of honor*

1Ti 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of  *double honour,* especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Mal 1:6 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: *if then I be a father, where is mine honour?*.....

Pastors are *spiritual fathers* and are to be honored by those God has committed to their care.

Exodus 20.12 Honour thy father and thy mother.....

*5. It credits your spiritual account*

Philippians 4:17

BBE version.......Not that I am looking for an offering, but for *fruit which may be put to your credit.*

*6. It is sound judgement.*

It makes sense that if someone has been laboring over you to ensure that you succeed, you should appreciate their labour by ministering back to them.

Acts 20.35.........it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour

*If your pastor has been a blessing to you then it's high time you honored that man or woman God has used to bless you.*

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Go ahead now and do it.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
