SUBMISSION TO CONSTITUTED AUTHORITY

Tayo Onaleye

Genesis 16. 9  And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.

Hagar had issues with her employer, Sarah, and Hagar ran away.

God spoke to Hagar to return to her employer and submit.

Ecc 10:4 If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee,  leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.

1. The God of the BIBLE is a God of order and is not the author of confusion or disorder.

1Co 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

2. Everyone is under one form of authority or the other.

Luk 7:8  For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go,and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth

There are 4 basic forms of authority to the believer:

a. Civil or government......govt/political leaders
b. Corporate/enterprise......business/vocational leaders
c. Family authority......Family leadership
d. Church authority........Church leaders

3. The clear directive of God is that everyone of us must submit to the authority over our lives.

Rom 13:1  Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Tit 3:1  Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Heb 13:17  Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that isunprofitable for you

1Pe 3:1 Likewise, ye wives,  be in subjection to your own husbands;

Eph 6:1  Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right

1Pe 2:13  Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme
14  Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

4. Refusal to submit to the authority over your life is called rebellion.

Numbers 16.12 ISV So Moses sent for Eliab’s sons Dathan and Abiram, but they responded, “We’re not coming.

It is called insubordination.

5. A man who is not under authority is not fit to be in authority.

1Ch 29:24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.

Some of these people were older more influential than Solomon but once Solomon became the king they had to submit to him or else......

The only way they could be in authority within the domain of Solomon was to submit to Solomon.

You can't function within the domain of a leadership you are not submitted to.

6. Anyone who doesn't submit to authority disqualifies herself/himself from higher levels of authority under that leadership.

7. Submission to authority is not based on age, gender, education or such factors. It is based purely on the fact that such an individual is the authority figure.

You may be older and more educated than your employer but by virtue of being your employer she has authority over you.

8. In every sphere, domain or territory the finality of authority always rests on just one person.

Be blessed.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
