HOLY SPIRIT AND MONEY......Part 2

Tayo Onaleye

In every move of the Spirit, money is always used as a tool.

#1. When God led the Israelis out of Egypt He loaded them with loads of cash....gold

Psalm 105.37  He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

Genesis 15. 14  And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

#2. When Moses built the tabernacle it gulped loads of gold (money)

Exodus 25. 8  And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
9  According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
11  And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.

#3. When Solomon built the temple it gulped loads of cash.

1Kings 6.21  So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.

#4. To rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, God mobilised resources in favor of Nehemiah.

Nehemiah 2. 7  Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah;   8  And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.

#5. To rebuild the temple, the Spirit of God stirred up Cyrus to mobilise funds for the work.

Ezra 1. 1  Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

2  Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

4  And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

6  And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered.

#6. The crusades of Jesus gulped loads of cash.

Money to feed over 5,000 people was not the problem but where to get that quantity of bread.

Luke 9.13 EasyEnglish ‘You give them something to eat’, said Jesus. ‘But we only have 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish’, they replied. ‘Do you want us to go and buy food for all these people?

Luke 8. 2  And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, 3. And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

#7. When the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost, the aftermath gulped tons of money so much that they had to raise money from real estate.....the wealthiest store of money.

Acts 4.34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold

In every major move of the Holy Spirit, there's always heavy mobilisation of money as a tool.

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
