Faith is a risky venture

Tayo Onaleye, Nation Builder
Lessons from Genesis 12.

Verse 4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; ........

Verse  5  And bram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, *and all their substance that they had gathered,* and the souls that they had gotten in Haran....

Living by faith.......obeying God.....is a risky venture.

But Abraham took that risk. When God told him to leave, he left......but did so very decisively...... *he left with everything he had*.....He didn't leave anything behind......so there was nothing to fall back on in His father's house.

Why did Abraham leave with everything he had?

Hebrews 11.15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

*So that he would not have any option of going back!*

What a man of faith!

Heb 11.8  By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and *he went out, not knowing whither he went.*

*He didn't even know where he was going and yet he left with everything he had just to obey the voice of God!*

No wonder he's the father of faith!

Many times God gives us instructions and we do partial obedience......one leg in, one leg out.......we have left as God instructed but we still have some things behind "just in case"........Our obedience is not complete.....not Abraham......He obeyed God completely......He left his father's house with everything he had.....everything.

What has God told you to do?

Are you doing it fully or you still have one leg "in your father's house?"

Sink everything you have into God's calling upon your life.

Sink everything you have into obeying God.

Go all out.

Joh 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you,  *Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.*

Shalom

Success through the Holy Spirit

SUCCESS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Tayo Onaleye I define success as  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...." Matthew 25.21 *I define success as hearing "well done" from God.* Jesus succeeded. Concerning Him the Father said: Mat 3:17  ".......This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." How did Jesus do it? Jesus operated in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit Jesus couldn't have succeeded the way He did. The personal and ministry successes of Jesus were due to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10.38 How *God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost* and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then we need Him too. That is why Jesus specifically instructed the disciples not to embark upon ministry without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of m
