CULTIVATE RELATIONSHIPS.....intentionally

CULTIVATE RELATIONSHIPS

Verse 13 BBE And one who had got away from the fight came and gave word of it to Abram the Hebrew, who was living by the holy tree of *Mamre, the Amorite, the brother of Eshcol and Aner, who were friends of Abram.....*

24  ...... *the men which went with me,* Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre

Abraham had friends......Aner, Eschcol and Mamre.

So in the day of battle.....when he needed to rescue Lot.....Abraham simply called upon his friends.....and they followed him.

I think that is simply amazing!

*Abraham's friends followed him to a battle at the risk of their lives!!*

This speaks volumes about the type of person Abraham was.

Do you have friends or are you a lone ranger in life?

Who are your friends?

Will they follow you to a battle at the risk of their lives?

The only reason Abraham's friends would have followed him to a battle is because he had followed *them* to a battle before or they know that Abraham would follow them in their own day of battle. Pro 18:24  *A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:* and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Time will fail me to show you that most of the great people in the Bible had friends.

Job had friends. Job 2.11

David had friends.

Solomon had friends.

Jesus had friends. Mark 3.21

Paul had friends. Acts 19.31

Do you have friends?

And who are your friends?

May you have friends who will stand by you in the day of battle like those of Abraham.

And to my colleagues in the ministry......remember the words of Bishop......don't raise funds, raise friends.

Shalom.

PUT ONLY RUNNERS ON YOUR TEAM

PUT ONLY RUNNERS ON YOUR TEAM Tayo Onaleye John 20.1-4 Team building is a major function of leadership. And broadly speaking, there can just be only two types of people on any team: those who are running with the vision and those who are not. It takes running to actualize any vision. Hab 2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said,Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  Only those who are running with the vision will help actualize it. Those on the team who are not running with the vision will eventually ground it. Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Running with the vision symbolises PASSION. Hence only those who are passionate about the vision will actually pay the price to see it materialise. Every vision faces challenges. Only those who are passionate about the vision will stick with it for the long haul. Those who are not passionate about the vision ...
